Hi my name is Alan Gilmour.
I have always been interested in my health and well-being. In my younger days I was fit, took regular exercise and more slender than I am in my later years. My exercise regime included regular long runs topping in excess of 100 miles per week, playing soccer, golf and skiing. Time however took its toll, injuries reduced the running to walking and not enough of that, I lost the puff to play soccer and while I still golf it is not enough in today’s hectic schedules to keep fit.
A few years ago I was introduced to Aloe Vera as a product and that certainly gave me back my vitality. This blog is not about the benefits of Aloe Vera although this will be used a a complementary topic, this is more about the everyday tools we use to maintain our bodies at an optimum. How to check your pulse, blood pressure and temperature rather than recommending exercise regimes.
My background is that of an aviator, flying for the military, taking part in top level competitions (just below national level) but not necessarily at the highest levels. Could I have made the likes of the Olympic team – I would like to dream so, but I never had the dedication that those athletes. I am an entrepreneur looking at where need meets opportunity and seeing how I can apply myself to helping others.
